Multi-Attributes Decision-Making for CDO Trajectory Planning in a Novel Terminal Airspace

Continuous Descent Operations (CDO) has been recognized as an effective way to significantly reduce fuel burn and noise impact. Designing efficient flexible arrival routes for generating conflict-free economical trajectories is a cornerstone fully achieving CDO by high-level automation in high-density traffic scenarios. In this research, inspired the Point Merge (PM), we design Inverted Crown-Shaped Arrival Airspace (ICSAA) its operational procedures support Omni-directional CDO. order generate optimal upcoming aircraft manner, established multi-objective trajectory optimization model solved Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm with Elitist Strategy (NSGA-II). The Pareto solutions of minimal consumption trip time were achieved single highly complex multi-aircraft Among all elements front, obtained unique solution Entropy-Weights Method TOPSIS (Technique Order Preference Similarity Ideal Solution) strike better trade-off among collision probability, consumption, time, which incorporates both air controller’s pilot’s interests. effectiveness performance improvement computational efficiency different scenarios verified.
